Fillers Treatment in Chennai

FILLERS IN CHENNAI

Fillers, also known as soft-tissue fillers, dermal fillers, soft-tissue augmentation are a cosmetic treatment used to smoothen wrinkles, improve thin lips, acne scars, and under eye areas. As we age, our skin loses its youthful appearance. Fillers help to restore lost fullness. When injected underneath the skin, a filler raises or fills up that area. It offers you a more youthful look for a fraction of what a conventional facelift costs. Different fillers treatment last different lengths of your time. Slowly, your body absorbs the filler. This makes the skin return to its normal state.

Procedure

After some medical interpretations about patient’s medical history, Doctor draws up a treatment plan designed for your goals and needs. Before treatment, the doctor advises to avoid consuming alcohol and blood-thinning medications. For some fillers, your skin is initial numbed with a local anesthetic or a nerve block (an injection). This varies with the filler and area to be treated. After the doctor injects the filler injections into the area, a stinging or burning sensation may be felt. The treatment is done after doing allergy testing to make sure you do not have an allergic reaction. If you need allergy testing, you must wait for the results from the allergy test before you can get the filler. Normally most of the filler treatments take between 15 and 30 minutes and require one office visit. Swelling and bruising can occur after treatment which can be corrected with medication. To minimize swelling, patients leave with a pack of ice and are suggested not to exercise for the first few hours to prevent a rise in heart rate or blood pressure.

Filler Treatment Risks

Filler injection can lead to some minor complications which usually settle down in a few days’ time like -

  • Redness, swelling, itching or pain after the first day
  • Bleeding or bruising
  • Allergies such as rash, hives, swelling, or flu-like symptoms
  • Lumpy skin surface after treatment

Sometimes Fillers can lead to major complications which are mainly due to the wrong techniques or the lack of experience of the injecting doctor like

  • anaphylactic shock, sepsis, a blood clot in the retinal artery leading to blindness
  • skin breakdown like necrosis
